Subject: What is largest SPARE that fits? IP: Logged
Message: I will be lifting my 97 Dakota soon [have 3" lift kit, need wheels/tires] and realized that I won't be able to safely use my existing spare as a spare [according to FabTech, due to offset/a-arm issue]. So, I was wondering what the tallest tire that fits the stock spare location was? I would like 32s, but might wind up w/31s due to $/availability, on a 15x8 rim. Will 31s fit in the spare tire area? Will 32s? 33s? I would HATE to be ANYWHERE [especially off-road] and be unable to get home as I have a flat and no usable spare. Thanks in advance.
Message: I have put a 33x12.5x15 spare up in my GEN III spare area. It fit snug up against the Hitch receiver and cleared the already added dual exhaust out the side pipes.
