Hey all, I just put the Fabtech 3" suspension lift on my '02 QC and they told me that with the 16x8 wheels the largest tire I could put on is the 265/75x16. I did it and now of course I don't like it, too small and narrow. What I want to do is go with the 285/75x16 to look better but I know it will rub. What exactly do I need to do to trim the body and make these guys fit? And how do I actually do the trimming? Any help would be appreciated.

What rims do you have ?????? I think you need a body lift on top of the fabtech for those to clear , the problem is that they rub on the back of the fender well , and there's nothing to trim , sorry is this 4x4 ????? if so yes trim the front of the lower valance and the rear of the fender well lining ..... If done you can't even tell it's trimmed .................

no, it is a 2wd. I have the AE 1029's 16x8. I thought someone had said on here I should be able to fit the 286/75 w/ a susp lift, but maybe not. Has anyone here tried this at all?

Joel, how did you get 15x8's on there, I was told that with stock 16x8 rims I could not fit 15" rims because of the brake set up. Did you do something to fit the 15's?

JJ02QC I think that is just on 2003 and up. I have the stock 16 x 8 and you can not fit 15" rims on because if the brakes.

I just got a 3" PA body lift for my 2003 QC 4x4 and I had no choice but to run 16" rims. Also remember that when you change tire size, your speedometer will be off. I went from 245/75/16 to a 285/75/16, and my speedo is now off by 7 mph!!!

You can fit 285/75-16's with trimming 3"body and 3" suspension and stock 16" wheel on 2002 4x2 with no spacers. Im running 285/75-16 interco truxus m/t's. 285/75-16 are equvlent to 32.8
