 Subject: tire question

I have a 2000 2wd dakota and I have read some posts on this forum and found a guy who put 31X12.5 tires on his 2wd and all he had was a 2 inch coil spacers and add a leafs. What I was wondering is could I go with this same setup with a 3 inch body lift of course with some trimming. my stock ride height is 32.5 in the front and 34 in the rear if that helps

Yeah it's basically the same thing, you are making more room for bigger meats.

Another question...would it be better to go with a 15X10 or I have seen some people get away with a 15X8? Basically I'm looking at how much it will rub. I don't mind doing some trimming if necessary.

you can use a 15x8 up to a 36" tire. that's what i would stick with on your dakota.
