Message: Same here! A buddy of mine gets better gas mileage in his 01 3/4 ton 4X4 excab shortbox 8.1L (Yes, its an Allison)! Although, this past Saturday, I kept a log of my fuel mileage heading up to the cabin and back on the interstate. I averaged 16.5 MPG going 70MPH (in WVa hill country) w/ an AWD Honda Forman in the bed. Lets see a Ranger do that!
Gotta Pay to Play! OOH RAH!!

Message: Yeah, that sounds about right. With 33" tires and a 318 I get about 11 MPG in the city...a bit better during the summer though :)
(and that is right - proper odometer reading and using a US gallon)

Message: Same here with my 97 318 4X4 with 3" lift and 33"s. I have a 3.55 rear end and am getting between 10 and 11 mpg in town. I tend to keep my foot in it a little more than I should though.
