Well I finally decided on a tire to run. I am going to have 285/75/16 Firestone Destination MT's put on today. Look like the BFG MT's but run about $60 less, and they have the UNI-T technology, advanced wet traction which is good for a mud tire. Will take pictures either later today or tomorrow.

have you thought of the bridgestone duellers? they are a well rounded tire( no pun intended!!i had them on my dak,they did great off road,and outstanding in the snow!!!never had any problems,and they have a very aggresive tread pattern, they also have the uni-t technology and all that good stuff!!!

Got the tires installed yesterday, and so far I am really pleased with them, very little rubbing at full lock. Tires are really aggressive and audible. I think ProComp and BFG finally have a competitor in the mud terrain department, and these are considerably cheaper. Here is the address to my photo album.

WHIKOTA - I looked at the Dueller MT's, actually they were rated best on tirerack for MT's. The thing I like about the Destination is that it has the sidewall lugs like the BFG MT's which seem to dress it up a little bit. There probably isn't much difference between the Dueller and the Destination, I think the lugs in the center are turned opposite, other than that I am sure the compound used is the same. I'll post on how well they handle/hold up.

Tires look great! I have all but decided on the same tire, have a few questions. Where do they rub? I'll be putting them on an '01 Quadcab 4x4 with PA body lift, torsion bars cranked up. According to my Firestone dealer these are 33.1" tires, and am hoping for good fit, not too much rubbing. Also is there a big diffeence in how they feel on the road as compared to the stock tire?

RedQuad - The tires only rub at full lock on the frame, and barely on the lower section of the front bumper. I pulled my bumper as far out as I could when I put on the lift, so make sure you do that. I also don't have my t-bars cranked, maybe in the future. You will definitely know they are not the GY RT/S, there is minimal vibration at start/stop, and the difference in road noise at first is surprising. I have a little over 200 miles on mine now, and they have gotten quieter, especially on the freeway. So far they seem to be a good tire, big lugs, 22/32, and mine measure roughly 32.5" on the truck. The difference is night and day.

matmick - Thanks for the reply, my quadcab will probably have a set on it by the weekend. Hopefully they will not rub at all since I have my t-bars cranked up. It's nice to have an alternative to the BFG's, Goodyear's and Pro-Comp's!!!
