Subject: BERND! MAJOR Upgrades Soon.. Need Help.. IP: Logged
Message: This weekend my 98 will be transformed into a whole new truck. Well, I'm on a tight budget so maybe this isn't such a big thing to some of you..
I'm buying:
a. (2) 2" lift coils for my front end from a friend
b. a Fabtech 3" body lift
c. (4) 31" SSR Radials on Eagle Alloys
d. Street Flare fender flares
Do you see a red flag in my combo?
Are there ANY other small parts I should get installed to mend what the factory gave me and all the new parts?
I have a '98 Ext Cab 2wd

Message: I see a red flag......Fabtech doesn't make Body lifts. Go with Performance Accessories.

Message: The truck should sit level with the 2in. coils in the front , as most (all) trucks are already higher in the back from the factory .
....and yes , get the P.A. body lift , it will come with all needed brackets.

Message: Yeah, the plan was to even out the stance but expect up to a 1/2 in. higher stance in the front.
I'm starting to doubt getting the 3" body lift because 31's look too small with a total now of 5" lift. To keep this operation under $1,000 including tires/rims I'll just keep to the coils for now.
A change into 33's would involve so much more $$$ that I wont have for a long time so..
It's the little things..
would I need to extend brake lines and other things at 5" height?
