I lost the thread I wanted to post this on (beer) but, here is a pic w/ my MAAP bars on my Quad. I think they were $219 when I bought them from JC Whitney. I can move them up about 1½ inches and/or out an inch or two if I choose, but haven't decided what I want. EZ to install.

I like them!!! and I am currently searching for nerfs after my 3" lift. I take it that they mount to the rocker panel and not to the body mount,correct?

I am now thinking of getting some nerfs. So you say these adjust up and down? With being able to adjust them does the nerf seem stable and feel like it can hold some good pressure. I am thinking about those times when I get into a situation where I relly got to step up to get in because the ground is so low, you know gotta grab the handle and pull your sorry ass up! My other concern is ground clearance. how about a straight on side shot?

Yeah, they'll hold. I stand on them w/ my full 210# and they barely budge. As far as ground clearance, they don't stick down lower than the frame. You can tuck them right under the rocker panel if you choose. I'll try to get a decent pic up for ya.

I might be interested in some of those too, but I am still waiting on N-Fab to release theirs for our trucks. I emailed them again the other day and they are still not available, but they told me they would be soon. I don't know if this means weeks or months. Here is a link to their website. They are made for body lifted trucks. Maybe if a few of you that are interested would email them, it might help speed them up.

Emailed Tom about the one-off set from N-fab. Then I found out I can't afford nerf bars right now (paying $400 to get those crappy GY RT/S tires off the truck).

The way I see it, the N-Fab bars hug close to the frame anyway. If you body lift the truck, the bars should hide the frame, and will appear like normal, tube-only, nerf bars, only with the added steps.
Now, it probably wouldn't be too hard to fabricate a new bracket that pushes the bars back up next to the body, but I don't think it will be necessary.

My brother is selling his nerf bars that came off a durango and they will fit dakotas quads trust me I tryed them on mine but unfortunately I had already bought mine. The brand is Louvern and he wants $120.00 for them.I forgot, they are semi-gloss black.
P.S. About the adjusting for body lift, I just drilled another hole in the brackets and it worked like a charm. See ya.

I just put a set of Lavern stainless bars on my 02 QC with a body lift, but there`s no way to move the front of the bar up because the body mount(where they bolt to)is in the way. I`m going to fab up a new brackets for the front , but the rear bracket has plenty of room to drill a new hole and move it up 3in or so.

BJ, your truck looks sweet. I have the QC in silver but in a 2wd. I noticed you have a body lift and big tires on your stock rims. I was told I could not fit bigger tires and a sup lift kit with stock rims, something about the suspension getting in the way. If I did the body lift does that mean it would work and I could fit say 31" tires with no rub? This guy is selling me a 3" sup lift with new 16x8 rims and 30" mud tires but I actually like my stock rims.

Dunno much about the susp. lift, cept what I've read here. If you put a 3" body lift on your 2WD, you'll end up about the same height as the 4WDs, which have 31s as an option. Some peeps are putting 32s on w/ no problems. I actually kinda liked the stock rims at first, but will consider aftermarket if I add a 3" susp. lift, just to get a better looking backspace.
