Message: Todd, I have part time 4wd w/ no lift (yet, soon to change when my new Rancho lift gets here), but I think I know what your are getting at. I've seen vehicle/lift combinations where it was recomended not to use on AWD vehicles because at high speeds the front-end driveline angles would cause too much vibration and wear (ie you don't have the option of putting in 2wd and taking the front end out of the equation).
I don't know if that is what you are talking about, but if you are, don't worry about it. I've seen seemingly informed posts on this board regarding AWD. On Daks w/ part-time 4wd the front drive shaft is spinning when even when in 2wd (just in the opposite direction - picture a differential), so obviously AWD won't have any more wear than 4wd.
Now this is just my understanding from the posts I've read, but run a search on AWD and you'll see what I mean. One guy said he heard this directly from a DC engineer.
And if you are talking about something entirely different, or if you don't like my run-on sentences, I apologize.

Message: I have a 2000 Quadcab 5.9 with full-time 4x4, a Rancho 3" lift kit in the front, the torsion bars cranked 1" and 4" lifting blocks in the back. I am running 32's and will be upgrading to 33's as soon as I can afford them. I havent had any trouble with increased vibration with the 32's after 30,000 miles. I also havent noticed any negative difference since I installed the lift.
