How much should it cost to get a 3" body lift, tires and wheels installed on my 2001 4x4 dakota...and does anyone know websites with dakota lifts that are 2001's?

Also, i cant find any 2001 body lift kits so would a 2000 one fit it?

Do it your self and it will cost only one day of your life, have a shop do it and it will be between 3 and 4 hundred, just for the lift. Tires mounted and balanced are about 30 per tire or so.

I dont think i have all the tools to do it myself. i called a place here and they said 350 and they will put the tires on free, i guess i will do that.

All you really need is a socket wrench and the jack from your truck.....that's it!!
Seriously, it's REALLY easy and there's a lot of guys on here that can help. There's even a few instructional sites that some guys put up with pics.

A set of sockets, open end wrenches, a jack, and a six of beer should do it. And about 8 hours of your time. Make it a 12 of beer and have a friend help. Its real easy.
