Subject: HEY great new 2wd lift idea IP: Logged
Message: Before i go to far i want to say that i know Aim Ind is a bad company, BUT, they are the only company that makes upper control arms for my 93 Dak.
With that said, Aim makes the 3 inch lift kit w/upper control arms and 3 inch over coils right? So after putting that kit on you could ALSO put the Daystar spacers on since the control arm will be back at a normal angle. Thats just my idea. Tell me what you all think.
3" control arm/coils $350
2.5" coil spacers $84
3" body lift $67
=7.5 inches for only $501
Pretty dang cheap if you ask me.

Message: I know for a fact that with stock arms that is impossible. But I have also wondered about it if we got the extended arms from AIM. But the only thing I can thing of is the lower arm. The angle on it would be severe. Donno if itd align at all. Then you have the steering problem. Then tie rod ends would be at a real sharp angle in comparason to the wheel right. Maybe Ball joint spacers or something would help. Donno. If you try it and it works, let me know, Ill be next in line to do it.
Good Luck, I have a feeling your gonna need it.

Message: Oh yeah 8.5 inches sorry. Uh....what is I.F.S.
the only problem i could see that would interfere with this set up is the tie rods. I have read other posts about ball joint spacers, and they sound easy to make.

Message: well.....yeah I think all Daks have independant front. I think this idea can work, with a little bit of mods, we should be seeing things at the same angle as the 4X4's.

Message: If you use the lifted coils + arms with the spacers your truck will ride horible. I know others have done it, but they must not care and probably don't take it off road.
