Message: WAS the owner (and builder) of that truck. I`m sorry to say (kind of ,as I really like my new truck!)it has been replaced with a 2002 QC 4WD , as I needed more room inside for my two kids.
I didn`t have a dig. camera when I owned it so I don`t have any other pics. to e-mail. I have some good old fashon photos of it but nothing to e-mail.
I will try and contact you via e-mail and tell you some more about the truck , maybe tonight.

Message: Also on ebay theres a black Dakota with the combo your talking about. Id love to own one of those. If you get 7 inches from the tuff ountry, thats 10 inches. Man do they look sweet. 35's on a Dakota is awesome. Go for it

Message: that's actually more like 11 over stock. 5.5 on lift with 33's you can add 1.5 plus 3 does equal 10 but with 35's you add another inch and get a total of 11. although I guess after settling and spring sag it is closer to 10, huh? either way, that is one AWESOME truck.
One question, I have the TC lift but I have been nervous about adding a body lift on top of it for two reasons, I heard it makes the trcuk unstabble(?), whatever, but I also want to know what it looks like in terms of exposed frame and lower bumber placement in the rear. Be honest, does it look a little cheesy? I can alway circumvent that with a custom pre-runner set-up front and rear (no more bumprs) but that's a lot of work that I'd rather not do on a weekend.

Message: Well chevy kits that I have seen come with rear bumper brackets to raise the rear bumper back in its stock location. I figure the dodge kits have em too. Do you have pics of your truck with its current TC lift ?

Message: If you get the Performance Accessories body lift it comes with both front and rear bumper brackets.
There`s no need to worry about adding a body lift with a susp. lift , you just need to be aware of how the truck handles when you`re done with it. It`s also a good idea to go wider with your wheels and tires , as you go taller with the truck. That will help off-set some of the higher center of gravity. The problem on the Dakotad is , you can`t go a lot wider without rubbing and or trimming.
I had 12in wide rims with 15.5in wide tires on mine and I never felt uneasy about driving it.
I did however , have to do some creative trimming to get them to fit.

Message: Marine1 , you will have to trim ,not only the plastic fender flare , on the rear of the front wheel , but also the metal behind it. Be warned , there isn`t much there to begin with. I basically ended up with a pie shaped piece cut out , and then welded in a new piece of metal to cover the hole left after trimming. It`s kind of hard to explain in words , I wish I had more pictures to show you.

Message: Are you talking the lower, outer part of the fender? Did you max the torsen bars when you did your lift? May have to ponder this one for a while.
Maybe I should go with a smaller tire. I figure a 37 or a 35 would clear. Several trucks that I have looked at uses 35s but the 38s on your truck just seem to fill the gap better.

Message: My torsion bars were almost maxed out , and yes I was talking about the outer lower rear of the front fenders. I had two different sets of rims , 15X10s and 15X12s , the 12s stuck out a lot more than the 10s(because they were a different off-set), and they rubbed a little more , but they also kept the tires from hitting the frame ...in the front of the truck , the big crossmember piece that hangs down for no good reason. That`s where my 33s rub , ever-so-slightly right now.
To be honest with you , I don`t think I would do it again. Maybe if I went to a straight axle in the front.
