I have a 2000 dodge dakota quad cab with a 3" body lift and 33x12.50 bfg's. iwas told at the allignment shop that I need new ball joints but they are connected to the control arms and they have to be bought together....anyone know any aftermarket parts that might be cheaper or give me more lift? thanks for any help!

I replaced my upper and lowers with MOOG balljoints. Came with grease fittings. The upper ones are rivited to the control arms. The MOOGS come with bolts to replace the rivets. I just ground off the rivets with a small grinder and they popped right out. The lower joints are pressed in and will take a lot of massaging to get out (I used a torch to heat them up and smack them out). Check Federated Auto Parts. They carry them.

AND DON"T FORGET!! You are dealing with a lot of pressure/tension from the springs-if you don't know what you're doing you could be seriously hurt.....
