Subject: Tires? IP: Logged
Message: What would I have to do to get a 32-33" tall by 9-10" wide tire on my 02 Clubcab? Would it be possible to use the stock 16" wheels? And would I have to trim aanything to make em fit? I"m looking into a 3" fabtech suspension lift but am unsure due to warranty concerns. Is there any other way to lift the truck besides a body lift that that won't affect my warranty? Any suggestions would be much appreciated
Thanks Mike

Message: How about 32" or 31.5's then. Not big into aftermarket rims, just looking to throw some meat at the stock rims and go a little higher. Maybe a better question would be
What is the biggest tires you can put on stock 16x8 rims with a 3" lift? Keeping in mind its 2wd.
Thanks for the feedback Frank.

Message: Cool thanks Badassmp. I am assuming by stock setup you aren't lifted yet. I found a set of M/T's that size I am considering so hopefully they fit just as good. Thanks again.

Message: Mike just a little bit of info, I just put on a 3" PA body lift on a 2001 Dakota Quad cab. I had mounted 265/70R16 Perrili Scorpian S/T on the stock rims which are 16x8. I have no problems with clearence turning and no cutting was involved. Also the truck is a 2 wheel drive. I did mine out of pure looks and its not made for off roading, but if you do want to do any type off roading then go to the 3" suspension lift also. I hope this helps you some. Hopefully i'll get some pictures posted soon. Oh the tires are 31.5 tall.

Message: Thanks for the info Dean.
I'm really not looking to go hardcore offroading , maybe play in the mud a little but thats it. More concerned about going through the snow, especially this winter I am on Long Island and its been snowing alot lately. The big tires and lift is for appearance but I don't want to loose any of the truck's capabilities that it has now. Are P265/70R16 stock size for the 4x4?
By the way I'll be looking forward to those pics.
Thanks, Mike
