any one make them for 97 dak? I have a 3" body lift+~1" from the torsion bars and just put AE 15x10's(33x12.5)on and I can barely drive it, it hits the back of the fenders. I've already cut out some of the inner fender but its not enough. I saw some flared fenders that would look good, but the tire/wheel might not stick out far enough then.(I think it said 4.5")
seems like it would still hit even with a 3" rancho lift(off road)
thanks

when you say pack of fenders which part do you mean? the worthless black inner lining or the actual back of the fenders. I'm running 31-12.50 on a 15x10 but am at the height of a stock 2x4 so it's close to the same thing I trimmed and I only rub on the bottom back part of the fender flare.

but they do not make cut out flares because of the design of the fenders our daks have.

If it is just barely catching it, you might be able to get another .5" out of the torsion bars to fix it. Your ride might be a tad bit stiffer up front though.

yeah, it looks like its hitting the actual flare.
Its bad enough that just going through a parking lot, I had to backup once to make the corner..

does any one make a 4" lift? 3" is too small but 5.5" is too much-(too much? did I say that?)

Truckin' makes a 4.5" lift if you're brave enough to try it. Here is a pic of Chad's Dakota with the 4.5" Truckin' lift and 34" Trxus tires.

Just get the rancho 3" and tweak it to 4"..
I'm running the 3" rancho and the PA 3".
I have 10" rims and my 32x11.5's still rub. Only when i get it in a bind off road. I think if i tweak the tbars it will fix it though.. You might be able to get some prerunner fiberglass fenders. I looked at mine and it's actually part of the cab and not the fender.. hth, Hop

my tires rub the fender flare. doesn't bother me and it's not bad enough to worry about. some people trim theres. check out tall quads site or theres a red cc with thornbirds and they both have good pics of how to trim. tallquad does have 15x10's with 33's. 2wd 3inch sus 3 inch body. and remember us 2wd people can't tweak our torsion bars.

whats the URL for the tall quad site? I dont think I've seen it.
I looked at the prerunner fenders, I like them but I dont want the tires tucked under the fenders that much. The site said 4.5" out. I think my tires are only about 1.5" out from the fenders now..
I guess I'll do the rancho. who has the best price? I usually get stuff from www.4wheelparts.com or www.truckperformance.com
Are the 9000 shocks worth the extra $$$

I went at looked at my truck again, this time in the daylight(no comments) and it is hitting the flare, it looks like I can just trim that like tall quad and it might be ok.. I had already trimed the inner plastic, but might have to go more..
I took some quick pics, I'll have some better ones up next week, and what I cut this weekend...

yeah, the guy at discount had me come out when he was putting them on because he thought it would rub because they stuck out too far.. of course seeing them on there I said do it anyway, I liked how they looked and didn't care at the time if it rubbed!!
I'll do some trimming this weekend.

I ran into the same problem. All i had was the 3" rancho. I trimmed the fenders only to find that there is steel under the flage. And it looks sharp. It has a seam that looks about 1/16" by 1/2". So i said F$%^& it and had the 3" body lift installed. I'm not cuting any metal on my dak. And i'm sure as hell not going to hit it with a hammer. I didn't spend 24k and 5yrs to tear it up.. lol

do you rub at all now? with the 3" rancho and 3" body? it looks like I'd still hit, with adding the rancho, if the tires are turned and I'm off road and hit a nice bump..

Mine only hit when at one point in a turn.. If the wheels are turned all the way it doesn't do it. There is just one point in a turn where it does. And thats if i hit a bump. It's not bad, i think i can clear it with a t-bar crank or if i put the bolt that fell out of my fender flare back in.:) I still think my tires look too small now. I'm wishing that i went with an 8" rim and 33x13.50's or 14 depending on what the widest tire i can fit on a 8" I think that if the offset on my 10's was less i'd have no problems..
