Guys, I am about to pull out what little hair tha Army lets me have. I have been searching the archives for weeks, as well as the net, the phone book, my friends' brains, and the local Autozone, but alas still no definite results.

I just want to make my 2WD Dak look a little tougher than it is now. I don't want to spend an arm and a leg to get it done though (maybe an arm). I was thinking of just getting the Fabtech 2" coils for the front and possibly coil spacers to get me about 3" of lift. But the back is what concerns me....

Here are my questions:
1. Does a shackle lift raise the rear end the actual amount of the shackle or is it half?

2. If I get a shackle lift do I need new hangers as well?

3. Does anyone know the actual amount of lift a flip of the rear axle will give me?

4. Truckin sells the above mentioned parts. And after knowing what happened to Knobbyman, will I be doomed to the same fate of using the company vehicle for trans...?

Sorry for the long post, but I just can't seem to find the answers anywhere.

Thanks in adance,
Mike

the flip will give you about 6", to tall for the rear . I would go with the fab 3" arms and springs...........performancelifts.com and forget the shackle , chaximus bought them of aim and they went bad in a couple of months , do the add a leaf aither fabtech or there is another brand I think trailmaster ........you just put on the leaf in between the last leaf .....

OK, so nix for the shackles and the flip kit.
My goal is 3", so with the fabtech 2" kit and the add a leafs could I get away with coil spacers without new control arms?

From what I have read, you can do either 2 inch lift spring or 2 inch coil spacer, but not both because of alignment problems. That is why 3 inch lift kits come with a new control arm. It resets the geometry to compensate for the large lift.

You can run 31's with a body lift. Maybe 31's with a 2 inch suspension lift (your choice of new spring or spacer).
32's with bodylift/2 inch suspension lift. Rear lift is optional depending on if you like leveled or stock balance (I don't like leveled).

Thanks for all the help guys. I think I have finally decided the route I am going to take.

Fabtech 2" coil springs
Fabtech Rear add a leafs
PA 3" body lift
BFG AT KOs 32x11.50R15
Smittybilt black powdercoat nerf bars

What do you think? Should look pretty good.
Can't think of a better way to blow my tax return :-)
