Subject: I DONT THINK IM CLEAR WITH THE PROBLEM IP: Logged
Message: The biggest problem with front lifts on the 2wd is the steering shaft angles right?
Well, if I was to get 4" spacers from a ram 4x4, and added a 1-2" spacer on top of the steering ball-joint, would that work?
Man, you have to believe that i am VERY confused on this topic. So could you all help me out.

Message: no it wouldn't. the reason why is becuase your not lifting the body (thus seperating the body from the frame, throwing the angle of the streering shaft off). all you are doing to truck when you add coil spacers is that your pushing the a arms down (thus comes the lift you get). so in a sense your just changing the suspension and not the angles of the streering shaft. i hope this clears things up for you.

Message: body lift you can go up to 3". suspension you can only go up 3" because if you try to go more than that , your a arms are going to hit the nipple ( spring housing ) and not let it get any higher ......................
