Has anyone installed a 5 speed Hurst shifter with a 2" body lift? They say it will not work, I wonder whether anyone has made it work...

I'm sure it could work if you trimmed your floor or whatever it will hit and get a larger boot(such as a universal muscle car looking boot.

I would like to get another boot just to get rid of the ugly stock plastic thing. Since I have a 4x4, this seems to be somewhat difficult. I was thinking about making one myself but so far wasn't able to come up with a good-looking and easy-to-make design... Any ideas?
