I'm planning on having my Dad order a Hanson Bumper for me in May so it'll be ready when I return from Korea in July. I figure since Dad's about 30 minutes from Hanson's shop and he's got my truck it's too easy to pass up. Got a couple of questions though...
1. I know the Hanson website says that they'll do the provisions for a warn winch. What exactly are the provisions and do you need to have the winch for ordering? I want to wait a couple months after getting the bumper before buying the winch so I'm not putting stuff on credit cards.
2. Does he do any painting/powerdercoating or is it delivered in bare steel? Just want to know so I can factor in the cost for painting.
3. Not directly related to the bumper, but I tried downloading your skidplate drawings from DJ's site and all I got was a blank screen. Can you send those to me? I want to see if Hanson will do them as well.
Endstate will basically be a black version of your bumper. And I'm going to order a black can-back top shortly before I go back tho the states as well...bumper and the can-back will almost complete the truck!

The provisions are basically just a sunk in platform for the winch to mount to. DJ did not put a winch on his for a few months also. SO that is no problem, it just looks like something is missing. It is a pain to maunt the winch once the bumper is mounted though so plan to remove it when you do. The way it sits pretty much makes it theft proof.
Since you are local Wayne can send it over to the local powder coaters that did DJ and My bumpers. Hy-tech powder coating in Salinas. They have a site and I dealt with Paul there. But that will not be included on Wyanes bill.
You can have my long plate since I will be getting a new one with my lift and DJ or I can get the transfer case plate cut for you. Did you see DJ's video on my site it has a close up of the Front skid plate he made. I could be made longer to account for your lift. It is really just a strong splash gaurd.
Hope that covers it. Just let me know if you think of anything else.

PS cant wait for your return to go wheelin! We have hooked up with some really great people at both Pismo and Hollister it is starting to become more of a party of trucks and wheelers! This weekend should have about 20 trucks. Not all Dakota's. But it is fun the Dodge guys only want to be pulled by a Dodge and the same for the Fords and Chevy's, it is funny! I think the Dodges rule though!
Never late for a Tee time or wheelin with my buddies! Always ready for both!!!
