Subject: rubbing with 33's on 15x8 4.5 offset IP: Logged
Message: I have a 02 dakota 4x4 with a 3" body lift on. I was wondering if 33's will fit under the fenders with NO RUBBING, if I put them on a set of 15x8 with like a 4.5" backspacing? I want to wheels to stick out like a half an inch past the flares. Thanks for the input. Cool website.

Message: Check out 97_blk_dak's website/pics, he has that on his '97 so it 'should' be the same, I hope :)
Check one of his other posts for a link....

Message: 4.5" should be perfect. If it rubs anywhere it would be on the lower valence under the bumper. That can be fixed by loosening the bumper and pulling it as far forward as possible. There is quite a bit of room to play in the fron brackets.

Message: With a 4.5" backspacing I think you would be fine as long as you turn your torsion bars a little. I still had to trim a little to avoid rubbing, but I think that is only because of the low 3.25" backspacing. 4.5" should be perfect and should still stick out a little bit. Check out Blizzard's truck. He has a 4.75" backspacing on his, I think. Since his setup is closer to what you are looking for than mine, I would email him and ask if he has any rubbing.

Message: I have a stock 2000 4x4 dakota with 33 12.5 15 mid tires and the only tirm it rubs is on full turn. I did trim the front valance but otherwise they fit on the stock rims. I have absolutely no lift on the truck not even trosion bars turned up. and I also have a winch and grille guard/winch carrier thats a total of abtou 200 pounds on the front end and no problems. the stock shocks suck though
Im selling the tires so if youre in so cal let me know Im also selling the winch and brush guard cause im using the turkc for work again and dont have time to go 4 wheeling anymore
