Subject: How is the Tuff Country lift

I was wondering yalls opinion on Tuff Country. I know how some like and dislike Truckin but what about Tuff Country. I have a 98 4x4 with a 3in Boddy lift and 33 BFGs. I want to put on 37's. Will the Tuff Country be enough. Also what else do I need to do to my truck when I add the lift and tires. How can I get alot more horse power from my 5.2?

A 5.5" TC lift with a body lift will clear 37's.

< Check out my website listed under my profile.

You'll need to upgrade your gears. They make as high as 4.56 gears for the 97-99 Daks, the 4.56's would be a good ratio for 35's-38's.

One note about running 37's, the front axle on a 98 is only a Dana 35M. These axles aren't known for their high strength. I've seen them come apart under heavy wheeling with 31's. I'd recommend sticking with a 35. It will put less stress on the front end and will allow a little better wheel travel without rubbing.

IF you want to hardcore wheel a Dakota on 37's I'd recommend a solid axle swap.
