Message: New to this site, just got my 2001 Dakota CC 4.7l 4X4. Am looking at lifts to apply. Should i even consider a 2 inch shackle lift? If not, what kind of 3in. lift should i apply? Also looking for a roll bar.

Message: Thanks for the input.Do you have the 3" body lift on your truck? I am an 18 yr old workin construction, the suspension lift is about 1500 too pricy. The body lift is deff in the budget. However, the key i am tryin to accomplish is more ground clearance. Does a body or suspension lift allow me to upsize to bigger tires (33's maybe). i want to keep it highway driveable for at least a little bit till i can get something, then i will modify it for off road Joyriding. ALso looking for a roll bar (double single) and i dont have the lmited slip rear end, any hints on ways to modify that?

Message: The only way to get extra ground clearance is to put on bigger tires. You can easily fit 33's if you do the 3" body lift. It's the easiest and cheapest thing to do to your truck. It looks a lot better and doesn't change the ride. The only way you'll affect the highway driving is if you put on swampers or something, most other tires will still be good.

Message: Grizzly is the only manufacturer of rollbars for our 97+ Daks. I have a black double/single with lightbar and 5 Hellas mounted, u can check out my profile pic to get an idea of what it looks like and a link to a site that has some better pics. www.truckaddons.com will price match any other site on the web and are great to deal with. Expect to pay around 500-600 for the black double/single and light bar though, it's another $300 or so for the chrome one.
As for adding LSD or posi to your rear end, powertrax or a detroit locker is available for us. The powertrax being the cheapest at I think around $200 and can be installed by someone who has some tools and reads instructions. The detroit locker will run around $600-700 installed.
Flowmaster cat back w/15 inch chrome tip, Volant Intake, Poweraid TB Spacer, Splitfire Plugs, full synthetic fluids 3 inch body/1.5 inch Block Lift, 305 70-16 X-Terrains on AR Terons, Pro Comp ES9000's Grizzly double/single rollbar with (6) Hella's, Manik Nerfs, Line-X, Hard Work & $$$$$$$$$$
