Subject: Super Swampers IP: Logged
Message: I was looking at getting some 33" tires and I am caught between the bfg Mud-Terrain KMs, or some Super Swamper Thornbirds. I have seen a lot of positive remarks about the BFGs, but don't know alot about the Thornbirds. Anyone have any input? Thanks

Message: thornbirds suck ass! i had them on a land cruiser and they would just fill up with mud and not clean out. you'd be better off with regular superswampers.

Message: Thornbirds are not worth the money. Get the BFG's, you will be much happier.

Message: Go with the BFG MTs. I've had a lot of different mud tires before and they were the all around best. They run well on the street, are not too loud and they wear a long time for a mud tire. I'm running 31x11.5 Swamper LTBs on my Dak now. They are very loud and are wearing very fast. Probably will only last 15-20,000 miles. On the plus side they're the best looking tires I've seen on a Dak and they are incredible in the mud and snow. I plan on replacing them with BFG MT in the Summer and I'll save the Swampers on a second set of wheels for the Winter and the really nasty stuff.
