Just wondering if anyone knows whether a stock 97' dakota 4x4 (6 cyl) can take 31 inch tires. Is there enough clearance? Or is a lift needed?

They will fit with no problem. My 97 4x4 came with 31's from the factory. You can even fit 32's with just a little rubbing.
