Wouldn't it be great if when the dakota gets redesigned for 04' the 5.7 Hemi was an option and instead of the current front suspension the guys at Dodge put the new Wrangler Rubicon Dana 44 set up in the front with coil springs . Then, a lift up to 8" would be a simple R&D thing for all the lift manufacturers at a pretty reasonable cost. They could even include the lockers and 4:10 gears! I would definately be first in line to order mine. Maybe the ring and pinion steering would prohibit this though. Just my wish list.

Sorry guys, I just did a survey with the new dakotas that will come out. They look basicly the same but the biggest engine they were offering was the 4.7 V8. Bummer huh? I put in comments about the Hemi, we will see if they listen. Oh yea, it looks pretty much the same. They are putting a body kit on it kind of like what chevy did when they put out the denli. I dont know about the new front end though, eeek!

Does anyone know if there is a photo online somewhere of the new '04 Dakota? I've seen the two photos that Dodge said the new style is a combination of. I checked the official Dodge site but they had nothing. I didn't know if a boot leg snap shot made it online or not???

I do not think they have reveled it yet, no photo, just a relese date of 04'. I heard 04' in Motor Trend.
