I have a 2001 4.7 liter quad cab with auto trans. I took it to the dealer for its final checks prior to the warranty expiration. I complained about poor idle and stumbling when first started that was intermitent. The Dealer Tech found software flash TSB 24-008-01 which was labeled on the invoice as poor ac performance/expansion valve noise. I was wondering if anybody has heard of this flash and exactly what it does? Also, the invoice said: "found min. air setting low. Found flash update for performance enhancements. Performed flash update. Installed emission stickers." Any ideas on what that means? I have a homebrew cold air intake and I ported the TB and figured that may have made made the air setting adjustment off? What ever they did it now seams to have more power and idles smoothly and higher when cold.
