 Subject: fake out O2 sensor

i got a '01 r/t. chip, k&n air, and exhaust. well, i also eliminated my cats. obviously this through my O2 sensors off, and now the engine light is on. makes sense. well, where can i get some easy to install, cheap O2 dummy sensors to correct this light problem. i plan on sellin real soon, and it wouldn't be very easy to sell if i have the engine light on. thanks

Dont waste money on o2 simms. Just wrap the rear o2 sensors in tinfoil and tie wrap to frame. Plug the o2 bungd with brass plugs from hardware store. No more light on my 2001 4.7 QC with no cats and custom 3inch single.

Never thought about that. Good idea. All the rear O2 does is make sure the air coming from the cat is clean.

Could just get a bung welded into the head pipe and put the 02 sensor back in. Go to a good exhaust shop, shouldn't be more than $20-30.
This will work on ANY vehicle.
The other is to hollow out the cat, use a piece of bicyle chain welded to a piece of redi-rod on a drill, diconect exhaust to get at the cat and have at it. Be sure to allow all the mess to blow out before hooking the muffler back up. This way it looks absolutly stock so that the guy at the emissions place don't know, the mechanic don't know, the guy with the Ford at the cruise spot don't know...

The U.S. EPA (Environmental protection agency) has stated catalytic converters are a significant and growing cause of global warming, because of their release of nitrous oxide (N2O), a greenhouse gas over three hundred times more potent than carbon dioxide! Catalytic converter production requires palladium or platinum; part of the world supply of these precious metals is produced near Norilsk, Russia, where the industry (among others) has caused Norilsk to be added to Time magazine's list of most-polluted places! So cut out your catalytic converters and take them to your local scrap metal yard and get $60-$100 for the precious metals inside!

just got a 2002 dodge ram quad cab it has a 4.7 and some one took off the cat i will put a new one on but i dont know if the wires for the o2 sensor are still there if i cna find it i would like to bypass the o2 wht can i use and what is the best way to go about it. thanks k
