Message: i've been looking for an answer to the best place to buy the ho cams. is there a better company or make? i've seen some say $100 shipped and some say $250. that's a pretty big gap so theres got to be a difference for the money right? i need some feed back from you gear heads. and after a lot of study on this kick a** site it seems to me the cams are the way to go, the most bang for the buck. i've already done the homebrew air intake, the auto lite plugs, the 180 degree stat, and a cat back. got a 2000 4.7L 5 spd lsd, got the 65mm tb, think i might just look for a stock 68mm tb. if you got one and want to sell, let me know. thanks for any info you can give.

Message: 65mm Stock is actually 62mm and 68mm is actually a 65mm. If you want a good TB and don't have the money look in to thefastman.com. Call and talk to Dan Arcand. You should probably just go for the 70 or 71mm TB. They are relatively inexpensive. What gears do you have? If you have the 3.55's you could upgrade to 4.10's. If you only have one cat you could upgrade to a larger mandrel bent and welded y-pipe (your muffler shop can do it) and a free-flow cat. That about $500 right there.

Message: look into www.krcperformance.com and they're 206 cams. This combined with a HO manifold should be ggod for some gains.

Message: hemi kota,
HO cams are HO cams, there IS a big gap in the price someplaces.
With your 5spd, the 4.10's will put your 1st REAL short. Unless you run the 1/4 very often, I wouldn't go that low.
The rest is good advice.
