Message: Is there a bolt-on cat-back (or other) exhaust system for a 96 5.2? I would like the dual out the back... what do you guys think sounds good?

Message: The only cat back systems I know of are the gibson single 3" pipe, and the dynomax single pipe cat back. I my go with the gibson system at some point. Its aluminized and is the only kit they offer for they 87-96 dakota. You could always have a custom exhaust installed or just make your own.
I was thinking of picking up a gibson single input dual ouput muffler and having a shop bend me some custom tail pipes.

Message: Pacesetter has some dual systems - they're about the only one I know of at this point. They're a low end brand but they may be the only option. Hedman briefly put out a dual setup and that's what I've got for my '95. I'm going to use their tailpipes so that I get the mandrel bent rear pipes but I'm going to use a Flowmaster muffler instead. I'd love to have a system bent up but there's nobody with a mandrel bender in the area that I really trust.

Message: I have a Pacesetter TFX dual outlet catback on my truck or did anyways. It sounded really nice for a six cylinder, so it should be mean for an 8. However I think their workmanship was lacking. The mounts didn't line up with the factory ones (aside from the fact that you're going from single to dual pipes) and the muffler rusted out in a little over 2 years.
I have since replaced the muffler with a Borla straight through muffler and I like it alot more. Its quieter at an idle, but when you stomp on the gas people will definitely know you're coming. Its alot deeper too. Borla catbacks are more expensive but you could just buy the muffler and have somebody bend the pipes.

Message: what is the part number on your borla? I have a turbo on my jeep wrangler and I think its the best sounding for the straight 6.
