Message: Many companies sell one that will fit easily. And you can adapt almost any coil if you feel like it. But, I doubt uyou'll get any improvement on an essentially stock engine. A high performance coil produces more power under extreme conditions: boost, high rpm's, high compression.
Under normal conditions (stock), a high performance coil will produce the same amount of energy your stock coil will. You gain nothing. Spend your money where it will do some good.

Message: The best performance mod I put on my '89 Dak V6 was an MSD Blaster2 coil and 8mm wires. BIG difference in power.
I put an MSD BlasterSS on my '98 V8 and it turned out to be defective and died on me one night. The MSD system gave no better feel foro power of mpg when I put it on til the coil went out and I put the stock one back on.
