My first comment would be SUPERCHARGER. :)
But, a modified throttle body, headers, decent exhaust, 180 T'Stat, and a plethora of other mods are available and will help you out in the performance of your truck.
Nitrous is fun but annoying when you forgot to fill your bottle before the weekend and no one is open. It also ran me close to $1800 over a 5 month period with the initial NX installation (heater, blow-down tube, and pressure gauges) and bottle fills (once a week + race-days). That's about $500 less than a Supercharger.
