You guys talk about using a volant air intake. The only thing I have seen is for the 4.7 Rams I was going to use the Rams but I dont know if it will fit. I was just wondering if you guys foung it for a Dakota and if you are happy with it?

Its an 03I found some on volants website but its close to 300 bucks. I want to know if its truly any better than a KN FIPK before I buy it. Its a 4.7.

Few intakes have offered dyno results. K&N found 5-7rwhp. AEMpower found 6rwhp on their 4.7L ram intake. Roar inc. found 13rwhp on their intake. All three of these are pricey intakes.

Thanks for the info. Ive never heard of Roar Inc.
where would I find some information on it?
I'm still thinking about the volant because of the box over the air filter.

roarinc.com Look around and you'll find the dyno results.

Since when could you get an enclosed filter from volant?

I saw it in a truckin magazine. It had prices for the intakes and some you could get with a box to enclose the filter from the engine heat it was more money, but if works better then an open one it would be worth it. I dont know if there were any for dakotas. I will check out roar.
