Subject: R/T 5.9 motor question IP: Logged
Message: I was reading somewhere that the 5.9 liter engine puts out 245 horsepower and about 335 foot pounds of torque. I kept reading after that and it said that the dakota r/t model has a different 5.9 motor that is less restrictive and puts out more power. Is this true? And if so does anyone know how much power the motor puts out in a dakota r/t? I have a 2001 dakota r/t which is why i was wondering. I may have worded that wrong, it might not have said its a different motor, but its different than the other 360's. If anyone could clear this up that would be nice to know.

Message: The R/T puts out 250hp and 345trq stock. Not sure about the differences though.
