Subject: TPS adjustment??
IP: Logged

Message:
I have seen a couple notes about tps adjustment. I have a 2001 4.7. Is this something that will help my hp? I am working on getting a HO cam and intake installed, air intake, performance chip, and cat back. Also, I have read that the 2001's have a 68mm TB. Will I gain anything by getting a larger one?

Thanks,
Brent

If you have an auto tranny, the tps mod may get rid of some of the 'stumble' when taking off from idle. I don't think manual trannys would gain anything from this.

I don't think It would increase your HP though.

You mentioned performance chip, which one are you getting? What about the 'cat back', want a different sound, huh?

I do have an auto. How would I adjust it. Does it require a reprogram or is it a screw adjustment. I'm still looking into the chip. I've read good and bad things about the jet stage II. What would you recommend?
