Subject: 5.2 with 3.9 tranny?!?!?
IP: Logged

Message:
I have a 99 dak sport with the 3.9 and a 5spd, I am really wanting to put a V8 in it. The 3.9 is just the 5.2 with 2 pistons cut off, the basic block layout is the same, so the V6 tranny should bolt up to the 5.2, I am just wanting to know if the V6 tranny is strong enough to hold togeather with the added torque and HP of the 5.2
thanks for any information
Phil

It will bolt up but if youre not real careful after a while you will end up replacing it. Best thing to do is probably just replace it while your there.

The AX15 should be okay behind a 318 for a while. I'd put a good clutch in at the same time.

Centerforce II would be fine with your setup, IMHO.
