Message: Lot's of guys are really happpy with their Paxtons but take a look at the Kenne Bell's as well. There are advaantages both ways. Personally i think the Kenne Bell is a better go for the street. Paxton for the track. More horses out the Paxton but you have to build revs to get full boost. Kenne Bell has full boost at 2000 rpm. I have a Kenne Bell and love it!! BTW Sniper kit..........nice!! You should be looking at mid to low 14's depending on how "track" you go ie weight. reduction,tires..........

Message: Anything but powerdyne. IMO they are crap. Mine crapped out on me and for the dollar it didn't do too much(Im a lil bitter). Others i know have had trouble or see a lack of perfromance from them. Kenne Bell, I have heard/seen they work well but there customer service is terrible. I am looking for a new charger and i am either thinking about the Paxton novi or the vortech from krc performance. Need to pull some extra cash out of somewhere..

Message: I've also heard that the Kenne Bell is very hard to tune. Vortec, Powerdyne, ATI, and Paxton all have good setups. Depending on what you want.
For budget setups look at the vortec and powerdyne. For all out performance look at ATI and especially Paxton.

Message: Well its just a matter of opinion...
Overall the best out there seem to be the ATI, Vortec & Paxton brands...
Kenne Bell becomes a tuning nightmare everytime you add another bolt on.
I have an ATI Procharger bolting on to my 2003 CC R/T next week. My decision brand wise was based on overall performance levels of the charger, reliability of the unit from others I have contacted ....and it is the only unit available with the Intercooler.
Again not knocking the other brands this is simply my supercharger preference.

Message: wat if u do all the boltons before installing a kenne bell? then will it be perfect when u go to install it? or will it still not be tuned right by the kenne bell people?

Message: It's true, the KB is a nightmare to tune and their tech support just makes it worse. The best thing to do, is go to the F.A.S.T. system (or equiv.) if you have the $$$'s. Best to do your mods first. When you order the s/c they will ask all about what mods you have and hopefully flash your pcm and the optimizer accordingly. KB told me they don't do re-flashes if you want to change anything.

Message: Depending on what kind of cam it is, I guess you would be drawing in more air and you may want to adjust your air/fuel. It may not be necessary, but it would be nice to be able to tune it for optimal perf. The way the KB is set up, you can't adjust anything. They will change your timing if you ask, but that's about it as far as I know. I was thinking about putting on a split second additional injector controller. I emailed KB and told them the dyno shop report said I was running lean and asked them if there was someway I could get the s/s aic to work and they just said 'NO, you're not running lean'. That's a big help. The best way to run a KB (i think) is to get rid of the aux injectors, go back to your stock fuel line arrangement with 8 (larger than stock) injectors, get rid of the optimizer (not the optimizer II), and get the F.A.S.T. or Accel DFI system and you will have complete control. I think you would see a big improvement in perf and you could make any mod you wanted. The hard part is getting rid of the optimizer.

Message: That sound like a lot o cake!!! I guess i'll just have tio try and see. I don't plan on doing much for a while, just put tthe charger on this spring. My next mod is going to be full exhaust and I don't think that will cause any problems. I was really hoping to do some head work eventually . Maybe the FAST system will have to come first.
