Message: The H.O. cams from the Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland are very popular and not too radical. Otherwise there's the KRC cams from Marty that are a bit more performance oriented. Check out www.krcperformance.com

Message: I have the Mopar HO cam in my 2003. Noticed a small gain in performance (MPG dropped a little on the Hwy). In my opinion was it worth the price of the cams and install - NO. Maybe some of the other KRCs are a little more performance focused than the MOPAR. Everyone talks about the 208s, but I thought the 208s had less performance spec than the MOPAR HO?

then NO, it probably wasn't worth it!
My cams were $53 each, a friend and I installed, worth it?, every penny!

Message: I installed my own cams. Paid 100+ ea at buymopar.com. (Todd, I don't think you can get them anywhere anymore for $53.00) Was it worth 210.00 plus 3 hrs labor? I still don't think so (my opinion)....I've come to the conclusion, the more you dick with the truck, the more things don't work right or the more mods you have to make to compensate. I actually lost mileage (1 mpg) on the highway with the mopar cams - got better in town though.....I posted because if a person buys the cams from a buymopar or dealer and has them dealer installed, they're lookiing at close to $700.00 and as you stated...that's too much $$ for the performance realized.
Dan, as a $$ saver, if you buy the cams you "usually" don't need to replace the 100.00 valve cover gaskets.
