Message: How does this fan sense temperature? I've read the directions on the website and it doesn't show a temp. sender unit.

The black magic fan has a metallic thermometer about the size of a small pen that you put in between the radiator fins. The thermometer connects with a wire that sends the signal to the fan control unit.
I've had my fan for 18 months and I haven't had any problems yet.

Message: I tried this fan on a Gen2 with the 5.2 and it is about 1/2 inch too fat to fit. I had to send it back to Jeg's for a refund.

Message: I'm looking into getting this fan also but I was told to put the thermometer inside the upper radiator hose. A friend of mine showed me how to do it and it works great on his truck. I don't know about Gen 2 Daks but the fan that Flexalite calls out for on Gen 3's is the #150 type.
Wouldn't want any other!
