Message: Do you have to get new guide plates for the push rods when istalling new roller rockers. There is a lip on the guide plate and the new studs that came with my crower kit dont tighten flush because of this lip in the guide plate. Is this normal. please help. I will hold on progress untill I hear from someone who knows or has done this. THanks

Message: According to the Crower site:
" Works well with stock camshafts and stock springs. Trouble-free, bolt-on installation (approx. 3 hours).
Self-aligning roller tip. Runs with or without guide plates.
Fits under stock V6, V8 and V10 valve covers. No machine work required."
However, the instructions do not say to remove the stock guides. Are there washers under the new studs? I believe that there should be washers to go under the studs - if you don't have them, call Crower! Another owner reported big problems when he bought a set from Summit which did not have the washers - ended up bending a valve IIRC. Don't repeat his mistakes!

Message: I called the hot line at truck performance center. They were able to help. Yes I did put the washers in the studs good thing I did. Ran fine at first start up, slight tapping but then disapated. Hopefully I wont have to worry about re-adjusting them. Only thing that concerns me is the valve covers, they are only five bolt pattern. I put a bead of hi temp liquid gasket. No sighn of any leaks yet. Can't wait to open it up, have to wait about 35 more miles to do that. Thanks for the advise.
