Subject: Dirty IAT sensor IP: Logged
Message: So I pulled my IAT sensor out and it was covered in black grime. I used carb cleaner and found out the sensor is blue (not black). Is this normal buildup? It has 45K miles on it (4.7l). What could cause this and what else should I think about taking off and cleaning?

Message: I would use electrical contact cleaner (CFC free). Too bad I can't remember who makes the stuff...
I just purchased a new one for $8.50 (tax included) and plan on replacing mine.
