Subject: MagnaFlow IP: Logged
Message: Hey, anybody have a MagnaFlow catalytic converter on a 97 up 318? just wondering if they are worth the buy or not.... looking at the stock diameter exhaust for the converter and a 3 inch single after cat from MagnaFlow.

Message: The stock converter already flows quite a bit. Replacing it probably won't make much difference. Also, if you are going for low end power, use a smaller diameter exhaust pipe to increase exhaust velocity (velocity = torque, flow = horsepower). A single 2.5" may work better for low end than a single 3".

Message: Thanx, my stock Cat is about to rattle for the last time and was thinking to replace it with another because of the problems I have had with stock Cats from Dodge. Next one is on me Im sure and think Magnaflows will go good with there after cat. I will look into the stock size.
