 Subject: SMOG Legal? Airraid

I just got an airraid on my 3.9. What does it mean that its not "SMOG legal"? Is that a general thing, or some specific state reg? We do have emissions testing here in CT, but I don't know if they check intake and how would it affect exhaust negatively? Do I need to replace the stock airbox prior to the test every 2 years? Would a chip compensate?

"Not Smog Legal" or "Non-Emissions Legal" means just that. It won't pass the visual inspection for emissions testing. Since it's a visual test and not a "tailpipe" test, nothing will help (although the ruling is rather lame IMHO).
