i just installed some MSD 8.5mm wires on my 99 318 and i noticed that my MPGs dropped to about 2.5. is this the comp adjusting to the new better spark? i checked the fuel lines myself and had a mechanic check them so there is no leak there. so do i have to take those wires off? will a hypertech PPIII fix the problem? any and all suggestions welcome

So you aren't even getting 100 miles to 20 gallons of gas now?? Or did you mileage drop by 2.5mpg?? I woudl say reset the PCM and see if that helps. Did you change the spark plugs and cap/rotor at same time as wires?
