I had an extremely bad experience with headers and I am just curious if they work better with the Dodge. The set that I had would blow gaskets it seemed every two weeks. I just don't want to have to deal with that all the time. How streetable are todays headers?

I have had my JBA's on for over a year now and I have never had a problem. I check for leaks about every two months and I have NEVER had a leak. Not true for every set, but they are pretty reliable. Hope that helps.

I sell the Mopar and soon the GS RT headers-- The Mopar headers are perfect for your setup-- good for stock applications on up to big cams, nitrous or supercharged.

I've sold 100+ sets of the mopar headers, and nothing but good things said about them. I personally run a set of ceramic coated headers on my 12.5 second 2000 RT, and a non coated set on my wife's 99 CC Dakota 4x4.

There is little maintenance that you need to do, and occationally 1 or 2 bolts will get a little loose. This is due to bolt stretch--- something that a 'lock' style header bolts won't help with-- the bolt will stretch, get loose-- then you have to mess with it to get it tightened again.

The ritual on the Mopar/PPh heaeders- install- torque headers-- go 50 miles-- check/torque again-- a week later-- check/torque-- 1 month check/torque again.. then every 6 months.

Sounds like a PITA but it's not-- 3/8ths box wrench, and about 5 minutes to check them all.. After the first month-- I haven't had a problem.
