Subject: Match Race in Tucson IP: Logged
Message: I thought I would post up the link to a video from saturday afternoon. I had a match race against a couple of Mustangs down in Tucson. The truck was running pretty good..... 3075' altitude at 103 degrees outside. Here's my first match:

The Mustang guys didn't post a video of the second match, which was actually a quicker pass for me. Best time for the night ended up being a 12.27 @ 112.63 mph. BTW - the density altitude for the race in the video is 6300'.

I'm stuck at 14.000000000000000000, and you're about to hit 11's...
Good run, I'm sure there were a few jaws that hit the ground that day.

Message: Thanks guys!
I was running in the neighborhood of 14psi to get those times. All the way home from Tucson I was wondering if I could have gotten away with more. Could I have launched harder? More boost? Speed shifted? But then again - that would fall under the heading of: "Going for Broke". I don't really want to find the limit for my stock parts, but I sure would enjoy getting kicked out of the track just once! hehehe

I'm thinking that Carlsbad probably wouldn't want you being in charge of their marketing department. Hahahaha...... as if they WOULD have one of those! hahaha
I still like my other video where the announcer says I'm going 136 mph!

Message: Well, that's pretty much what other's call it.
It does open up at 10 am, with Racing at 11 am (compared to 1 pm and 2 pm)
Other than that, and a $5.00 fee increase-- nothing else has changed.
What was your 1/8th in that 12.2x pass?

My 1/8th time and speed was 7.93 @ 89.70 mph with a 1.893 60' time. I spun a fair bit in 1st and just a little in 2nd. I gotta either work on the suspension or get some bigger/stickier tires.
