 Subject: jet chip stage 2

i'm getting a stage 2 jet chip. I have a 2000 dakota 4.7L with flowmaster exhaust and k&n air filter with stock air box when i put this chip on do i need any other mods like thermostate or cold air intake etc. If i need these mods which do i use and i live in canada so will these mods cause problems.

You will need a 180* thermo. Have you already bought it yet? I sell them on my site for pretty cheap. They arent too helpful as far as power goes. Not really sure if they are good for the 4.7, but they work good on the 3.9 and they dont work on the 5.9's. Guess its a tossup. Well anyways check out my website.

They do not work good on the 3.9 I took mine off a long time ago.

180 T-Stat doesn't work well on 5.9? Almost everyone on this board probably has a 180 thermo installed!!!?

Ryan I have been looking for a 180 T-stat for my 4.7 and on your website it says your stats are not for the 4.7???

98Durango you have it confused. The Jet chip doesnt work well with the 5.9 :) not the thermo.
The Jet chip does work for the 3.9's. I HAD dyno results to prove it, but I dont know where I left them!! A few people on here have track times to prove it as well.
