Subject: My truck Take a look IP: Logged
Message: I would like an opinion or two on my intake and truck if anyone has a minute to spare. MY intake filter sits in the fender and not too far away from the opening of the bottom of the bumper. Will the rain at all affect it being that low to the ground? Here is the link to my pics....

Message: Actually the fog llight I bought at pepboys for 60 dollarxs. Much much better than the OEM fog lights and much brighter. THe ring of light around the bulb or the halo effect is by an led that was buikt in the foglight. I was really surprised how well the fog lights worked out with the factory house and brackets. The true cold air intake really make a big difference in the way the truck performs compared to the filter being in the engine compartment. THanks for the comments . I appreciate it

Message: Nice looking truck.
The only thing I would change on the exterior is finish off those stripes down the front of the truck.

Message: So, you were in a wreck? I'm guessing that's how you were able to get a matching front bumper, because they come with black trim on top from the factory, unless you get an R/T. It's subtle things like that that set the truck apart. So, did the body shop paint it, is it an R/T front bumper or a Durango front bumper?

Message: Actually my dad used to own a body shop at the time of the wreck so I asked him to paint the front bumper along with the rest of it. Now i need to get the back bumper painted all one color. And Ill finish the stripes down the front right after the first hump of the bumper. The truck is a 3.9 but I have a friend who has an R/t and he tells me my truck is pretty quick for an V6. As far as the intake. It requires that you cut a hole with a three inch diameter behind the passenger side headlight. Just position it where the filter will fit in the little cabin of space. The materials used were 5 screw clamps I bought at home depot for a dollar each. THen 2 45 degree rubber mandrehal" or something like that" that I bought at a piping company. Im not sure the exact lenghts of the 3 inch diameter aluminium pipes I used, but those were also bought at the piping company. It took about 20 minutes to put together but it came out nice in my opinion. Oh and dont forget to wrap the pipe where it make contact with the metal with some type of padding, otherwise you will hear metal to metal contact when you hit bumps. I used a one sided sticky foam insulater made to wrap around pipes to cushion the pipe from clanking on the metal.
