Alright, I finished building my "cold" air intake. I have a few pictures posted of what it looks like. Sorry for the bad quality, the camera sucks. I would like some peoples opinions on the matter because I am worried that when it rains, the filter might get a litle wet. I can definatly feel a differene in acceleration with the colder air being sucked into the intake. Here are some pictures of the setup along with some pics of my truck. all opinions are apreciated. THanks http://www.cardomain.com/id/shiper4

Not sure about the rain issue, but that is definitely the smoothest home brew intake I've seen. Where did you get that elbow off of the hat, and the rest of the parts? Great Job!

That's about the same as I built but I used 3" pvc and actually made a heat shroud around the filter to keep hot air out and cold air coming from outside. I never have problems with water gettin in because it wont go uphill that easily.

I'll finally put some pics up to show err-body what my ride looks like.

01 5spd CC 4.7 35k, CAI, IAT Relocator and Adjuster mod, no clutch fan, no muffler, just some loud tips that I sure do like, TPS set .76 V,
that's it for now. Trac-lok waiting to go in, and a new job in the works that'll have that whistle under the hood sooner than I thought.
