Easy kills, these R/Ts! The kill list is getting long on the Hemis too! I have read so many hemi kills on the Lightning and Chevy boards, it's sooo funny reading about these "great" Dodge hemis getting @ss raped by Chevys and Fords, even Tundras sometimes. Just some more Dodge cr@p to beat on the streats!

I used to own a Monte Carlo. That was THE BIGGEST PIECE OF $h!t I have ever driven. The thing started falling apart within a couple of years. I will NEVER waste money on another General Motors product again!!!!!
On the other hand, I have respect for Fords. I am surprised that this Ford guy would take up for that candy aSS.
Someone would have to be pretty SStupid to pay $40,000+ for a Chevy pickup.
One other thing, I doubt this moron would take on a Ram SRT10 (if he actually was dumb enough to spend money on a Silverado to begin with).

So sick of hearing about the new SS and even the lightnings. I have beat 2 SS Chevys, I have beat every lightning pre 2001 without using laughing gas, and beat 3 brand new lightnings with the gas. Don't get me wrong I have lost to the lightnings everybody loses from time to time but I have always gotten my revenge. My point is I can beat them with the gas or without it does not matter, I run a 13.9 without and 12.3 with so anytime you SS guys or Lightning guys or hell I'll even race a Lambo I dont care just quit talking and bring it.

Don't be stupid. For one thing a Ford guy never takes sides with a Chevy guy. And the only exception would be if a $hit load of money was put into that piece of $hit and it was stacked up against a stupid civic. Second of all if you have a miata, then take you and your gutless wonder back to a mazda site and start bragging there!

A brand new SS was at LVMS during the last Midnight Mayhem event just a couple of weeks ago. He ran a best of 15.7, which is the same time I ran back when my CC R/T was bone stock as well. Keep in mind LVMS is NOT sea-level conditions before the trolls open their pie holes about that E/T (2000 L's at the track run 14.1).
Stock to Stock I think the SS and R/T are very comparable - chalk up each win either direction to driver reaction time, driver error, conditions, etc. Add a couple bolt-ons to the R/T and the SS will see nothing but tail lights (I run 14.7 N/A at the same track nowadays with the basic bolt-ons, and low 13's with a 75 shot at 750psi)
I see the SS for what it is - another high-priced full-sized pickup truck whose performance doesn't totally suck. Props to Chevy for finally making a pickup truck that doesn't crawl through the 17-second range. However, I'd hardly be running around crowing how my $45,000 AWD pickup could match/beat/come close (depending on the driver) to a bone stock Dakota R/T which cost at least $20,000 less.

What is SS talking about? "Look at the bottom of the link?" What the mention of some guy saying he beat and R/T while towing two wave runners? I'm sure that happened, yea right. When ever some Chevy guy say's he beat an R/T that it's true on that site? I guess since I'm a Mopar guy every one here is going to believe that I raced a SS Silverado while towing a Chevy & Ford super duty truck and beat him by a bus length then. :)

Its also kinda sad the SS is running the same times as a stock R/T but the SS is all wheel drive and I can imagine it'll hook up pretty good w/ fulltime allwheel traction. The R/T's are torque monsters and have a helluva time hooking up (on street tires that is)

My miata is bad to the bone. I could beat any dodge with it. The racing stripes alone are good for at least 10 hp, the guy at the shop told me that they are smoother than the paint on the hood so the air flys over the car faster which makes the car more arrow dynamic. Plus I have many other stickers and a cold air intake. So keep dreamin boys.

SS why don't you just go the a Chevy dealer and take a picture of the truck on the lot. We got two of them down here. On the lot is the only place I see the SS Silverado. Who wants to pay $40,000 for a 15 second truck? If you want I'll take the picture for you and mail it to you.

the '04 RAM SRT/10? Dodge placed the Viper's V10 under hood. Supposedly 500+ HP and torque with 0-60 times of under 5.2 secs. Also comes with a 500 watt stereo system.

Yeah, I've been looking at the Ram-SRT10 for some time now and what bugs me is that they won't post the price on one, which makes me believe that they will be a hefty price tag. Which means that even with this bada$$ mopar it will be pretty hard to find, about as hard to find as vipers. And Ford stepped up with a prototype lighting with over 500 horsepower also, I just wish dodge would put a s/c on the SRT-10 so that the maxed out lightning would have no way of competing, or even a turbo, a hennessey viper venom has anywere from 800-1000 hp depending on what you set it at. If they would just have an option like that for the SRT-10 then the only competition for it would be drag cars. Those 8.3L can have a lot done to them, I just wish they would do it to them. An 800tt venom from hennessy can go 0-60 in 2.4 sec. theirs a lot of room for improvement in these rams, lets see um do it.
