Message: What would i have to do to get the speedo correct? What is the cruise rpm @ 70mph? I just ordered a 2600 rpm stall, 52mm t/b, headers, and exhaust to eliminate all the converters, and a Gen II K&N kit.

Message: I had 4.56's installed in my 2002 R/T and no speedo adjustment was required, the differential has a computer sensor that makes the correction.

Message: what will changing the gear ratio to something such at the 4.56 do to your 1/4 mile time? what about your gas mileage??

Message: Then why does the hypertech programmer allow you to make changes to tire diameter, and gear ratio? Cruise rpm @70mph?

Message: Tire size will effect your speedo, changing gear ratios won't. I think Hypertech might be able to change the way the truck reads the ratio, but dodge already installed sensors to read, calculate and adjust already.
Gas mileage stays the same or improves in the city, slightly worse on long highway trips.
1/4 mile times can go vary +/- 2, it's just a matter of what you do at the track. Shift to OD to soon it will hurt your times, if you can rev it up then you will improve your times. Slicks are also a crucial piece of the puzzle with such low gears.

Message: maybe I can just run 26 inch slicks at the track and get the same effect.
