From everything I've read on here it should. The K&N helped with my mileage, thats what the computer said after about a month. And I thought it helped with response, although that could just be in my head because I was paying attention more. I'm about to put a good catback on, which from what I've seen will help both too, but I can't comment from experience right now. Although, I have the 5.2, and I'm assuming that with the 5.2 being twice the sice of a 2.5, it'll get twice the amount of improvement. But go for it if you want, couldn't hurt it much.
